Message from the president
28th President Ju-Ming Wang
Under the support and efforts of the members, directors/supervisors, presidents, and secretaries-general of the "Taiwan Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology" (TSBMB), our society has continued to grow and stand for 54 years. It is now a truly academic organization to represent the biochemical and molecular biology community in Taiwan.
Therefore, I am personally grateful for the nomination and recognition by the current board of directors and supervisors, and honored to be elected as the 28th chairman of the Board. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to Assoc. Professor
Shi-Ming Lin from the Department of Biotechnology and Bioindustry Sciences at National Cheng Kung University for his assistance in assuming the role of secretary-general. Together with Secretary-General Lin and all the directors,
supervisors, and staff of this term, we will work diligently to advance the affairs of the society and safeguard the welfare
of our members.
In the future, TSBMB will continue to serve as a platform dedicated to promoting academic development in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology in Taiwan. In addition to regularly holding the TSBMB Autumn Camp, the society also participates in the Biomedical Annual Meeting, produces a journal to share experiences and legacies, publishes an e-newsletter to provide the latest news, recruitment information, and shares information on domestic and international seminars. Currently, TSBMB is not only a national member of the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) but also one of the founding members of the Federation of Asian and Oceanian Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (FAOBMB). Therefore, the society is also responsible for enhancing the international reputation and collaborative connections of Taiwan's biochemistry and molecular biology fields.
