Society History
The Taiwan Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (TSBMB) was established in 1970. The TSBMB aims at providing opportunities for close interactions among researchers in Taiwan and also with other international Biochemistry and Molecular Biology societies and networks. The society includes IUBMB (International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology), FAOBMB (Federation of Asian and Oceanian Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) and all investigators on biochemistry and molecular biology from major research universities in Taiwan Every fall, we have annual meeting (TSBMB Autumn Camp) to present a world-class gathering and indepth discussion for research related to biochemistry and molecular biology. We invite speakers who are experts in the respective research area. We have the poster/short oral presentations for graduate students, postdocs and research assistants to compete for decent prizes. Every spring, we join the Joint Annual Conference of Biomedical Science with other sister societies to facilitate discussion among TSBMB members and with other researchers on basic and translational biomedical research. We also provide workshops of science communication to all levels of researchers.
